Reflections on Camp Gravatt 2021

Leighton (1st Grade)

Seth (Upper Elementary)

Camp was a lot of fun and there was so much stuff to do. One of them was a big water slide, but they were draining it so it was a steep drop. You dropped like a meter stick and a half. Another thing was my bunkmates. Some were nice and some not so much. There were also slingshots, archery, church, paddle boarding, and two lakes. Thank you to all of you for the opportunity.

Eli (Middle School)

Thank you all for giving me the chance to go to Gravatt. This is my Camp Gravatt experience. Gravatt is peaceful, energetic, and fun.

Once you arrive everybody is welcoming and you can sit on your cabin's porch and breathe for a minute. There is no such thing as a bad day at Gravatt. When you're there you feel great, all your worries fade away.

On the final day there is a church service that they have where you gather in a circle and sing four songs. Every afternoon they sing a couple of songs that tie back to a story in the bible.

When you’re there everybody is very loud and energetic. Every time there was a winner for the cleanest table in the dining hall it can sound like a football stadium. Everybody is supporting each other. You can go there and it would be so loud that you couldn’t even hear yourself think.

While you are there you are given a bunch of different activities to do like swimming, archery, art, and the Gravatt Olympics. They also had these after dinner activities like Carnival where you get popcorn and snow cones, and Survivor Night where you try to win challenges and not get voted out.

That is my Camp Gravatt experience,

Thank you,

Eli
