Membership

Question: How do I become a member of Good Shepherd?

Answer: Short answer — it depends.

If you are already baptized, but a member of another parish, ask for a transfer of your letter (membership) by either calling your previous parish or the office at Good Shepherd.

Those baptized as an infant or young child are invited to make a mature, public affirmation of their baptism through the rite of confirmation.

If you are a confirmed member of another denomination, ask Amanda about the process for being received.

If you are either unbaptized or unconfirmed, again ask Amanda about the process.

Amanda suggests the book Walk In Love: Episcopal Belief and Practices by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Copies are available for lending from the Office.

If you have questions about what it means to be an Episcopalian, just ask and I’ll find you an answer.
